Angel was a cocker I kept from the first litter I ever planned.  Angel had a few litters of her own and was a wonderful mommy to her puppies.    One day when I was working at the Humane Society these two abandoned kittens came in which were only about two weeks old and needed a foster so they would survive.  I fostered many dogs and when I seen them I knew right then I would be their foster mom.  Angel just had a litter of puppies that where born 20 March 01 which were about 3 days old  when I brought the kittens home.  Soon as I walked in the door Angel heard the kittens crying and became quite interested in them.  I had to bottle feed the baby kittens and when I did this the kittens would make noises and Angel wouldn't lay down to nurse her babies because she was so concerned about the kittens.  Angel carried on all day and wouldn't relax in her bed with her babies.  I finally put the kittens by her so she could see them and she instantly started licking them as to clean them.  I then put the kittens back in their crate after Angel examined them.  When I placed the kittens back in their crate Angel paced in her bed and wouldn't relax or lay down with her babies.  I put the kittens back with Angel and her pups and she nudge them down to her belly so they could nurse along with all her babies too!  From that day on Angel cared for the babies and nursed them until they were able to eat on their own.

Since the kittens were being raised with a litter of pups I decided to give them tough sounding names and named them "Harley" and "Levi".

The funny thing is Angel never liked cats.

When "Harley" & "Levi"  where seven weeks old they were then adopted to a wonderful family.
