Puppies and young dogs need something resistance to chew on while their teeth and jaws are developing.

--Rawhide chews are not the best choice.  The puppy/dog can chew them up quickly and are difficult for them to digest; and swallow and may cause choking.

--Meat bones:  Only give BEEF bones NO chicken, pork or any bone that can splinter.

--Nylon chew bones are the safest.  They provide effective tooth cleaning a vigorous gum massage.  The toughness of the nylon provides the strong chewing resistance needed for important jaw exercise and effective help for the teething functions.

--Give milk bones at least twice a day for teeth cleaning.
